Village Vanguard on 7th Avenue South was founded by Max Gordon in 1935 and is regarded as one of the most famous jazz spots in the world.

The triangular-shaped room is located in the basement level and is known for its pristine acoustics for both listening to live performances and for live recordings. It is now temporarily closed due to the Coronavirus shutdown.
