Hudson. Ted’s Formal Wear on Orchard Street sold formal 🎩 clothing for men at a time when the Lower East Side was lined with discount clothing shops.

When Ted’s son, Charles Buchholz took over the shop in 2003, he changed the focus of the store and concentrated the inventory on rock T-shirts and other memorabilia from the Lower East Side’s historic connection with punk and rock and roll.

• In our latest YouTube video LOWER EAST SIDE NYC REOPENING DURING PHASE 3 OPEN STREETS NEW YORK, we walk with our dog Hudson @hudsonpittienyc along the entire length of Orchard and Ludlow Streets in the Lower East Side during the Phase 3 of Reopening New York City from COVID-19. We are happy to see many restaurants open with outdoor seating and shops open for business. Filmed on Saturday, July 18, 2020.
