Arthur’s Tavern on Grove Street is a live jazz and blues nightclub which has been in business since 1937.

It is called the “Home of the Bird” because it is the last continuously operating New York jazz 🎶club to act as a regular host to the legendary Charlie Parker and the great Roy Hargrove. It is now temporarily closed due to the Coronavirus shutdown. (And always no cover charge)! • To see and hear more about the many historic music 🎶 venues in the Village please watch our latest YouTube video GREENWICH VILLAGE NYC HISTORIC MUSIC WALKING TOUR : 10 MUST VISIT PLACES.
