Grotta Azzurra was founded in 1908 by the Davino family in Little Italy , NYC.

The restaurant was named for the Blue Grotto on the Isle of Capri and is one of the first place to serve “Lobster Fra Diavolo” (brother devil in Italian) a dish invented in America, not Italy. We love the restaurant’s overhanging #neonsign as well as the decorative lights strung across the width of the street.
