La Taza De Oro, a Restaurant in Chelsea, has sadly closed for good. Although it has been closed for a while, we heard that due to gas turn-off in the building the family has decided to shut the Puerto Rican #restaurant, which had been in business since 1947. Photo is from 2010 and appears in our newly released book, STORE FRONT II- A History Preserved along with more text about the #storefronts back story. We always loved this store's #handpainted #signage complete with its "golden cup". We also loved their #tostones and #rice and #beans!
