We always love visiting other boroughs besides Manhattan (we reside in the East Village), to discover the many #momandpopshop gems 💎 various neighborhoods have.
On one of our very long walks (yes we usually walk whenever possible to outlying neighborhoods rather than take the subway), we found this #delicatessen in Glendale, Queens which originally shared the zip code 11227 with Bushwick, Brooklyn but following the 1977 blackout, residents of Glendale and neighboring Ridgewood voted to disassociate themselves from Bushwick and formed their own community and were officially given the ZIP code 11385 in Queens in 1980.
