The Doughnut Plant on Grand Street which was founded by Mark Israel is celebrating 25 years in business this year and we visited the original #storefront in our latest YouTube episode: Lower East Side Food Tour.

Mark developed his own technique of using fresh seasonal fruit and fresh roasted nuts 🥜 in glazes and also in 2004 invented the jelly-filled Square Doughnut so that everyone could enjoy jelly filling in every bite of the donut. •
