Hudson. Installation fun over at Seward Park (Manhattan), Lower East Side, NYC

Sam Moskowitz of Greenwich Village Society For Historic Preservation and his daughter Tina stopped by, said hello and took this photo.

We are happy to announce that we have all of our paperwork signed and notarized including insurance documents allowing us to officially begin construction of our sculptural storefront installation inside Seward Park this Monday, June 18th. We got a head start yesterday by bringing all of the lumber materials and constructing the base in which the sculpture will lay on.

Despite the extremely hot weather forecast for Monday (92 degrees F) our plan is to build the entire 12 foot x 8 1/2 foot rectangular wood frame, cover it with plywood panels, paint it and if time allows attach our polycarbonate roofing material. We will keep everyone updated on our progress and also take photos to share with you.

If anyone wants to stop by and say hello and take photos of the process, please find us in the southwest corner of the park near the children’s playground. Our rescue dog, Hudson will also be with us lending a paw so you can also say hi to him.

Thank you so much for helping us fund this colorful public art installation. We are so excited to finally see the project come to life and it would not be possible without your generosity!  Last days of Kickstarter: Help support the project: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1581279891/mom-and-pops-of-the-les-public-art-installation
