This Italian Bakery, which specialized in bread 🍞 and biscuits baked in its coal-fired ovens was in business from 1920 -2008. Even though the #storefront facade has remained largely unchanged in appearance, the business is no longer an Italian Bakery. Photo from 2004 appears in our book "Store Front: The Disappearing Face of New York".
