Gnocco on East 10th Street near Avenue B in the East Village has been in business for over 21 years. It was founded by Pierluigi Palazzo and his wife, Rossella Tedesco and specializes in Northern Italian cuisine and is named for the fried dough puffs sold with prosciutto and salami on the streets of Modena, Italy ðŪðđ.
We visited Gnocco for lunch and dined with our dog Hudson in their outdoor dining area opposite Tompkins Square Park but they also have a beautiful backyard garden ðŠī to dine in. We had their amazing Margherita Pizza cooked in their wood-fired oven and their Fresh Mozzarella Panini w/tomatoes, basil and pesto served with a side salad (swipe left for 2nd photo).
