Duke's near Union Square was in business from 1995-2015.

Duke's was known for its retro vibe and Southern comfort food like Mac-and-Cheese and barbecue ribs. The space where Duke's was located as well as the adjoining restaurant City Crab will be the new location of Danny Meyer's Union Square Cafe. We are not sure what happened to all of its ‪#‎neon‬ and ‪#‎vintage‬ ‪#‎signage‬ but hope that it was saved. Outtake from our book NEW YORK NIGHTS.
