This week marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing so we are highlighting the 🌙 Moondance Diner in NYC.

The Moondance Diner opened in 1933 as the Holland Tunnel Diner and could seat 34 people with six tables and ten counter stools. Sadly this #vintage #Diner in SoHo closed in 2007, a victim of rising rents. The structure itself was saved from demolition and moved by flat bed truck to La Barge, Wyoming. It too sadly closed for business and its fate is uncertain (it was for sale as of 2012). In the lot in SoHo where Moondance once stood is the James Hotel @jameshotels.
