The Jazz Record Center has attracted devoted jazz fans since 1983 despite its out-of-the-way location on the 8th floor of a commercial building in Chelsea with no commercial signage. Thousands of vinyl records can be found once you open the door and are meticulously organized by owner Fred Cohen (seen in photo) in bins that sit on industrial metal shelving with handwritten dividers listing the artists names. A wide offering of rare and reissued jazz LPS, including a large selection of Blue Note records as well as CDs, DVDs, books, posters, magazines & enpgenera are also for sale.
