Brooks Atkinson Theatre

We are so excited to share the news that “Six: The Musical” playing at the historic Brooks Atkinson Theatre on 47th Street has won two Tony Awards out of the eight awards it was nominated for including “Best Score” and “Best Costumes”.

Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss who picked up the Tony for best original score for @sixthemusical are the youngest recipients of the award ever and Marlow is also the first openly nonbinary person to win a Tony.

The theater 🎭 which was built in 1926 and designed by architect Herbert J. Krap for the real estate magnates the Chanin brothers. The theater was originally named the Mansfield Theatre but was renamed Brooks Atkinson in 1960, to honor the famed “New York Times” drama critic Brooks Atkinson.
