Our latest YouTube video: Union Square Greenmarket, NYC Farmers Market Food Tour is now live on our JamesandKarla channel!

In this outdoor Food Tour, we visit the Union Square Greenmarket in NYC and get to know many of the farmers, bakers and fishers who grow the wide variety of food and plants that are sold at the market.

Union Square Greenmarket was founded in 1976 and is located on the north, west, and east sides of Union Square Park in New York City and is open year-round Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays. It is estimated that 60,000 shoppers come by the farmers market on any given day.

We visit many vegetable, plants, fruit, meat and grain farmers including James Durr Flowers, Stokes Farm, Van Houten Farms, Caradonna Farm, Fantastic Gardens, Gorzynski Ornery Farms, Keith's Farm, Grazin' Angus Acres, Migliorelli Farm, Oak Grove Plantation, Tweefontein Herb Farm, Union Square Grassman, Stokes Farm, Sycamore Farms and S & SO Produce and get some of their freshly harvested crops and meats.

We also visit a few jam, honey, syrup farmers including Berkshire Berries, Andrew's Local Honey, Tremblay Apiaries, and Phillips Farms and purchase some delicious jam and honey.

Our rescue dog Hudson also comes along with us as dogs on leashes are welcome at the Farmers Market. Hudson not only samples many of the goods but also gets lots of attention from the farmers including a local farmer from the Catskill Merino Sheep Farm who produces superfine merino wool. We even purchase a dog treat for Hudson from Roaming Acres, which not only sells bison, ostrich, pork and pastured chicken but also sells pet products including ostrich and bison bones.

We would love for you to subscribe to our channel and hit the thumbs up and notification bell and please share if you enjoy the video.

We will be posting new videos weekly, highlighting small unique businesses in NYC.
