Stage Restaurant, East Village, NYC.

Stage, which specializes in Ukranian/Eastern European food, has been in business since 1980 but has been closed since a few days after the East Village gas explosion/fire because a tenant living in the building where Stage Restaurant is located called Con Edison stating that he/she smelled gas in their apartment.
As a precaution/safety measure, Con Ed shut off the gas supply to the entire building. There is now a petition started by Stage owner, Roman Diakun's son, to collect signatures and help generate support to reopen the restaurant.
