The 21 Club, Midtown Manhattan’s historic speakeasy just announced that it will permanently close next year after over 90 years in business.

Located on 52nd Street near 5th Avenue, this iconic restaurant which was originally founded in 1922 in Greenwich Village was known for its amazing art collection, jockey figurines and its long list of A-list clientele including many Presidents of the USA and movie stars. It has been closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic since March but we took this night photo in 2010 when the restaurant was glowing brightly for our book “New York Nights”.
