It is with heavy hearts 💔that we are sharing the news of the passing of Moe Albanese, the owner of the beloved Moe the Butcher - Albanese Meats and Poultry in NoLita.

Moe Albanese passed away only days away from his 96th birthday due to complications from the Coronavirus. Last year, we visited with the second-generation owner Moe and his granddaughter Jen, who joined the nearly century-old family business as a butcher 🥩cutting and trimming all the meat by hand the old-school way for a YouTube video highlighting their unique Italian butcher shop.
