Pizza Week! To continue our celebration of all things pizza🍕 this week, we are posting one of our favorite finds, Alley Cat Pizzeria.

This Manchester #pizzeria specializes in New York-style thin-crust #pizza and not only has very reasonable prices but also serves a huge 20" pie. We fell in love with its amazing #neon sign with the #script lettering and its black cat 🐱.

To kick off Super Bowl 🏈Weekend, we are highlighting all things related to one of NYC's favorite foods, pizza 🍕.

Paul's Pizza in Hamilton Heights has some great #handpainted #signage and claims that it is "The Best Pizza in Town". Special thanks to @pauliegee123 for inspiring us to post all things #pizza 🍕 this week. Arcade Pizza 🍕 is known for "Specializing in Real Italian Pizza & Sicilian Pies"

S&S Diner on the edge of the #Wynwood Arts District in Miami was established in 1938

The #diner had a horseshoe-shaped counter with stool seating that held only 18 people. There were no private tables or booths and was cash only serving just breakfast ☕️🍳 🥞or lunch 🍔🍟. Unfortunately the #vintage diner was forced to close in 2016 after the land it is located on was sold for $33 million to a real estate developer. Sadly another victim of this neighborhood's #gentrifcation. #miami  #typography  #storefront  #signage

Katy's Candy Store in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn was founded in 1969 by Katy Keyzer.

When we photographed this candy 🍭 shop in 2004 for our book, "Store Front: The Disappearing Face of New York" we interviewed Katy and she told us that she, "has been through the dope, crack, and everything else this neighborhood has thrown at me. I speak three languages, English, Spanish and Motherfucker. You've got to be tough to survive around here." Sadly Katy was forced to close her business in 2007 when the landlord raised her rent very high in order to ged rid of her and convert the building into a luxury condo. To this day, the #storefront remains empty, which saddens us deeply.
