We will be talking with everyone about our installation and the inspiration behind it and there will be free pickles at the opening courtesy of @pickleguys and free candy 🍭 🍬🍫 courtesy of @economycandy.
• Economy Candy has been in business since 1937 and specializes in hard-to-find chocolates 🍫, candies, nuts and dried fruits. When we interviewed the 2nd-generation owner, Jerry Cohen, for our book "Store Front II-A History Preserved" he told us that "we sell mostly old nostalgia-type candy....the inventory is basically everything that I like to eat." This #candyshop is now being run by the third-generation owner Mitch Cohen who has generously donated an assortment of candy for our opening.
