Empire Diner is located inside a 1946 Fodero Dining Car on Tenth Avenue at w22nd Street in #Chelsea.

After surviving a few different ownerships in the past 40 years and being closed completely for the past 16 months, it has finally reopened under new ownership. It has a revamped menu under Chef John Delucie and an updated decor. We haven't visited it yet but will always love it when it had the miniature stainless steel Empire State Building replica on its roof as seen in this photo from 2009 which appears in our book "New York Nights".
